Faisal Kiwewa is the founder of the Bayimba Cultural Foundation and Artistic Director of the Bayimba International Arts Festival as well as the DOADOA – East African Performing Arts Market. Curator of the Amakula International Film Festival and co-creator of the International Theater Festival of Kampala. As founding director, along with a multidisciplinary team, he has worked hard to turn the artistic scene in Uganda from a fairly static state to the current level of vibration. During the last years, under his guidance, Bayimba trained, supported and created numerous platforms to celebrate the arts in Uganda. As such, Bayimba has become a reference name among artists and professionals, not only in Uganda, but also in the region of East Africa and elsewhere in the world.
Inge Ceustermans is the Managing Director of The Festival Academy, a non-profit organization set-up by the European Festivals Association (EFA). The Festival Academy has grown out of the success of the Ateliers for Young Festival Managers, and offers unique, intense and rigorous training programs on festival management to young, dynamic and passionate festival makers worldwide. The Festival Academy is developing into a sustainable organization with a specific global mission and a global network counting today 680 festival managers from 88 countries and all continents: informed, skilled and networked festival leaders/activists with global perspectives, who can act in solidarity to effect change locally, nationally, regionally and internationally.
Ligia Nobre is an architect, researcher, curator, project and cultural space manager. She works at the crossroads between art, design and architecture. Graduated from the in Architecture and Urbanism – Mackenzie University (São Paulo) and master in Theory and History of Architecture and Urbanism from the Architectural Association School of Architecture (London). PhD student in Aesthetics and Art History at PGEHA – University of São Paulo. She is currently a teacher at Escola da Cidade. A part of O grupo inteiro, with artists, designers and architects Claudio Bueno, Carol Tonetti and Vitor Cesar, in researches, management, and space, graphics and technological projects in diverse scales, activating multiple ways of coexistence.
Fabiana Vilar Post-Graduate in Cinema and Audiovisual Language, MBA in Art History and postgraduate in Project Management and Social Programs, Universidade Estácio de Sá, studied Cultural Production by IFRJ and is an actress at E.T.E.T. Martins Penna. Technical Analyst of Culture at SESC Rio and actress-researcher of the group Okearô Teatro. She is currently a member of Sesc RJ’s cultural management team, where he curates and develops projects in the field of performing arts.
Luiz Coradazzi has been a Cultural Manager for 21 years. He has a degree in Social Communication (ESPM), specialization in Cultural Policy Management (University of Girona / Itaú Cultural) and a Masters in Music Business Management (University of Westmenister, London). He has held several positions throughout his career: programming, fundraising, marketing and strategic planning. Among the institutions and projects served are TV Cultura, OSESP, Time4Fun, Instituto Baccarelli, Inhotim and Universal Music. Between 2011 and 2017, he was Director of Arts at the British Council Brazil, where he developed and implemented the Transform program, a platform for cultural relations between Brazil and the United Kingdom that reached around 2.7 million people and mobilized more than 200 cultural institutions in both countries including SESC-SP, Edinburgh Festivals, Digital Port, Neojiba, Southbank Center, FLUP, Outburst Queer Arts and the Rio 2016 Cultural Olympics. After serving as a strategy consultant for the Goethe Institut, Odeon Institute, and Consulate of the Netherlands , recently assumed the position of Artistic Advisor of the Municipal Theater of São Paulo. Luiz is an active member of several international cultural networks, such as ISPA, GLOSACI, Salzburg Global Seminar and The Festivals Academy.
