The Núcleo Bartolomeu de Depoimentos recontextualizes Sophocles’ Antigone, bringing to the scene the risks that the character takes when stealing the body of her brother, condemned by the tyrants of Thebes to roam on the banks of the river of the dead, kept unburied in the open sky. Now this gesture of wanting to return the entire fraternal body so that it can fulfill its rite of passage, and set it back in the earth, parallels with the bodies that disappear, today, in the Brazilian favelas. In the scene, Luaa Gabanini and Roberta Estrela D’Alva, from the poetics of invention of the hip-hop theater, operate with the corporeity of the voice and the words and investigate how both materialize in the time and space of the scene.
