Challenges of internationalization of the scenic arts
The increasing circulation of works of art in the globalized world is a phenomenon that applies particularly to the field of performing arts, evidenced by the increasing participation of artistic creations in the programming of different festivals and theaters, whether in Brazil or abroad. This course aims to present and analyze the main aspects related to the complex network of internationalization of the scenic arts. We will start from a general panorama, which locates the circulation of spectacles in the context of culture globalization, in order to then approach specific themes.
Thus, in three different modules, from January to March, we will discuss from the challenges of a cultural policy focused on foreign relations to the practical aspects of qualification of Brazilian professionals who aim to work at the international level. The classes will be given by the organizer of the course, Andrea Caruso Saturnino, with the participation of professionals both from the area and from related areas, who will contribute to the reflections on the topics addressed.
